Learning about life

As part of their study of life cycles, students in Michele Fuzia’s kindergarten through second grade classes at Franklin Borough School hatched Painted Lady butterflies. The students were amazed to watch the process of the caterpillars forming their chrysalis and then emerging as butterflies, which they then released on the school grounds with the hope that other students would see them during their school day. The students are, from left, Autumn Crosby, Sarah Davidson, Leif Selden, Ruben Hernandez.
