Learn about youth sports injuries at seminar

    SPARTAnNewton Memorial Hospital and the Township of Sparta Health Department will hold a seminar on youth sports injuries at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Sparta Health & Wellness Center, 89 Sparta Avenue. Dr. Robert A. DeFalco, Jr. will talk about the possibility of predicting potential injuries because of the way particular games are played. He will also talk about how how sports injuries happen and the latest information about treatments. DeFalco is a University Hospital of Philadelphia-trained orthopedic surgeon and has worked with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is associated with John Vitolo, MD at Skyview Orthopedic Associates practicing in Sparta, McAfee and Succasunna. Both doctors are members of Newton Memorial Hospital's Medical Staff.
