KEEP opens applications for its fall programs

Vernon “Splat! Splat! Squish!” Those were the sounds heard during NJ After 3 KEEP’s celebration of its third consecutive year serving the children of Vernon Township Schools. There were water balloon tosses, a tug-of-war over a pool of shaving cream, and snacking on watermelon and pizza. But the loudest sounds were children laughing. KEEP will continue offering this program for children enrolled in kindergarten through 4th grade in Walnut Ridge, Cedar Mountain and Rollings Hills Primary Schools, for $75 per child, a month. And if a family has more than one child, every additional child is $25 per month! Given Vernon’s vast geographic area, it’s difficult for children to get together for play dates after school, so for working parents, this program is a boon. And non-working parents have a chance to reduce their monthly rate by volunteering within the program and letting their children benefit as well. Applications for September can be obtained from KEEP by calling 973-383-2213.
