Hold the car. Save the cat.

Most teenagers, when asked what they want for their Sweet 16, would say a car. Not Pope John sophomore Abigail Pait. She told her parents she wanted donations made to Father John’s Animal House in Lafayette. A total of $1,000 was collected through the generosity of Abigail’s family and friends and she presented the check to Peggy Post, President of the Animal House, and Princess Bee, resident feline. Father John’s Animal House is a no-kill shelter and they are extremely appreciative of this support, and hope others will follow Abigail’s lead, especially in these tough economic times.
