VERNON-Hidden Valley Resort now features a Teen Club, specifically for kids ages 12-16. The club will be open three nights this summer; Friday, June 25, Saturday, July 24, and Saturday, August 21, from 8-11 p.m. The club will feature music by DJ Earl, with contests, games, prizes and giveaways throughout the evening. Sna cks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase at the Tiki Bar. "The idea of a Teen Club was conceived by Sheri Eichler, our Sales Manager", says Janice Duffy, the resort's Guest Services Manager. "As the mom of 2 teenagers, she often heard ‘there's nothing to do around here', so we thought we'd give the kids the same club atmosphere that the '21-and-overs' enjoy when they go to a dance club." So that parents can rest easy, Hidden Valley will provide adult chaperones who will ensure the safety and enjoyment of all the kids at the club. The kids will not be allowed to leave the club once they arrive unless a parent or adult guardian comes in to pick them up. Backpacks and purses will not be permitted in the club, but can be checked in at the coat check. Admission to the club is $5 at the door, however, on the first night, June 25, the first 30 eighth grade graduating students from Sussex County can get in free simply by giving their name and school name at the door. Hidden Valley is located on Breakneck Road in Vernon, New Jersey. For more information call the resort at 973-764-4200.
