Health club contest: free memberships

Pompton Plains — Spa 23 Health and Racquet Club will give away 23 free one-year Platinum Memberships to people in the area who cannot easily afford to belong to a health club and who will benefit most from the membership. To be considered for a free membership, applicants should send a written request to the club explaining why they need the free membership and how it will improve their lives, providing as much information as possible. Letters will remain confidential. A committee of five Spa 23 managers will choose the 23 winners. The deadline for consideration is Monday, Feb. 15 and the winners will be announced on Monday, Feb. 22.
