September 27 At 10:08 p.m., a 1998 Dodge pickup truck that was being operated by Rocky F. Carr, 46, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., was stopped by Patrolman Erik Aronson after the officer observed his vehicle at the intersection of Routes 23 and 94 with an inoperable license plate light. After a brief roadside investigation, Carr was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Hamburg Police Station, where he was charged with improper maintenance of lamps, failure to exhibit documents, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and driving while intoxicated in a school zone. His vehicle was impounded for 12 hours under the provisions of “John’s Law,” and he was released pending an appearance in the Hamburg Municipal Court. Patrolman Jason Eben assisted with the arrest. September 30 At 7:56 a.m., a 1995 GMC Jimmy that was being operated by Douglas A, Delellis, 24, of Vernon, was stopped on Orchard Street by Patrolman Erik Aronson for having an overdue inspection. Further investigation revealed that Delellis’ driving privileges were suspended, and that there was an outstanding traffic warrant for his arrest from the Hopatcong Municipal Court. He was arrested, and was released from custody after posting $375 bail. He was also issued summonses for failure to inspect, driving while suspended, and failure to exhibit a registration card and is scheduled to appear in the Hamburg Municipal Court on Oct. 19.
