Gazetteer assembled by Sussex County historian available for purchase
Newton Drawing from his vast collection of reference books, published local and regional histories, maps, newspaper articles and photographs, Sussex County Historian Wayne T. McCabe has assembled an illustrated gazetteer a reference book that provides hundreds of little known facts about the county. For the first time, in a single book, all of the crossroads, hamlets, villages, towns, municipalities, brooks, streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, swamps, hills, mountains, camps, and mine locations in Sussex County are identified and described in detail. McCabe, a resident of Newton for more than 35 years, is a noted local author, historian, and lecturer.
