Free parenting classes begin Feb. 2

NEWTON - Newton Memorial Hospital and Project Self Sufficiency are offering free classes to help parents learn effective methods of nurturing their infants, toddlers or preschoolers beginning Monday, Feb. 2. The Nurturing Parenting Classes begin at 6 p.m. and run through April 20 at the hospital. This program will offer tips to help parents to recognize and understand children’s feelings. Other topics include education on infant and child massage, nurturing parenting routines, child growth and development, alternatives to hitting, and ways to build self-esteem in self and children.
