Food drive at fair

Newton — The Division of Senior Services will hold a food drive on Thursday, Aug. 6, during Senior Day at the New Jersey State Fair, to help stock the food pantry at the Sussex County Division of Social Services. Visitors who bring food items to donate will have their names entered into a drawing for a $50 WalMart gift card. To donate cash, call 973-383-3600. Cash donations are used to buy essential food items, such as milk for the children. Those in need of food for themselves or their family can stop by the Division of Social Services, 83 Spring St., Newton, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. No appointments are necessary. Food donations are accepted during business hours or call 973-383-3600.
