Financial education workshop set
Sparta The Sussex County Coalition for Financial Education, a program of the Center for Prevention & Counseling, will offer a workshop Saving, Investing, and Surviving in Tough Times on Tuesday, March 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the Sparta Presbyterian Church, Annex Room, located at 32 Main St. The free program is offered in recognition of America Saves Week, a national initiative in which over 1,000 organizations encourage and assist Americans to save and build wealth. Dr. Barbara O’Neill, author, professor and financial expert, will conduct an interactive presentation addressing all the tools you need to become an effective saver in this difficult economic climate. Topics include: saving strategies, savings goals, savings obstacles, savings methods, employer savings, expense reduction, education planning and future planning.
