We would like to thank all of the people who have gone out of their way to help us raise funds for our daughter, Micayla, who has recently been diagnosed with chronic myelongenous leukemia. Many have sent donations to The Micayla Wynn Leukemia Trust Fund, and for that we will be forever grateful. In addition, a few have gone out of their way to help us with other fundraising activities. Specifically we would like to thank Cheryl Pettit for organizing and running, along with Sue Capuano and Lisa English, a very successful car wash and bake sale at the McAfee Firehouse on Oct. 4. Very special thanks to all of Micayla’s friends and classmates who spent the day washing cars and asking people for donations to the fund. We would also like to thank the McAfee Firehouse for allowing the event to take place at their building. And, we would like to thank all of the people who stopped by to have their car washed, or pick up a baked item. In this time of economic hardships, it is heartwarming that people are still willing to give to help someone else in their time of need and we are truly humbled by all the assistance we have received.
