Dinner will benefit wounded soldiers

    SPARTA — A Memorial Day Dinner fundraiser will be held at the Sussex County Technical School on Friday, May 21 at 6 p.m. The dinner will benefit the Sussex County Democratic Committee, as well as sick and wounded members of the Armed Forces and their families. The students of the school’s Culinary Department will prepare and serve dinner. Young area musicians will provide the entertainment. John Wisniewski, State Assemblyman and Chairman of the New Jersey State Democratic Committee, will be guest speaker, and will discuss issues that have recently impacted Sussex County’s schools and homeowners. A share of the proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation, which provides “comfort homes” on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers that enable military families to be with their loved ones during hospitalization. Prices for the dinner are $40 for individuals, $75 for couples, and $20 for children. Sussex County Technical School is located on Route 94 in Sparta.
