Dinner to benefit CLAWS
SUSSEX Augusta-based CLAWS Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter of Sussex, Inc. will host an all-you-can-eat ham and turkey dinner at Sussex Firehouse (25 Loomis Avenue, Sussex) on Saturday, March 6 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets ($10 for adults/$5 for children) are available at the door and can also be purchased in advance by visiting CLAWS. An all-you-can-eat meal of ham, turkey, gravy, corn, potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, beverages, and dessert is included. This event will also feature a silent auction, face painting, and live music. 100 percent of proceeds go to CLAWS. CLAWS Cat Rescue and Adoption Shelter of Sussex, Inc. is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Augusta. Since 2002, CLAWS has rescued and housed stray, abandoned, neglected, and abused cats and kittens. Cats are available for adoption for $40 each to qualified homes. The shelter is open at 28 Pelletown Road in Augusta from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
