Oct. 19 Stephen Shepard, 24, of Sussex, pled guilty to the second degree crime of possession of a firearm by certain persons not to possess. Shepard, who has a previous conviction for a drug distribution-related offense, admitted to possessing a semi-automatic handgun in Wantage on June 21, 2009. Shawn Baron, 27, of Franklin pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine and heroin on Aug. 30, 2009 in Franklin. Clarence J. Fletcher, 48, of Newton pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing a bag of heroin in Newton on Feb. 5, 2009. Amiello Amato. 23, of Sparrowbush, N.Y., pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing 140 bags of heroin on July 7, 2009 in Hardyston Township during the course of a motor vehicle stop by Officer Michael Master. Oct. 22 Joseph Bonavita, 28, of Stillwater was indicted by a grand jury on charges of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with serious bodily injury, a crime of the third degree. Zachery Pedersen, 22, of Montague, was sentenced to three years probation, 180 days jail and $1,205 in fines. He pled guilty on June 30, 2009 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing 15 bags of heroin in Sparta on Jan. 24, 2009. Evelyn Wrobel, 35, of Hamburg, was indicted on charges of theft and theft by deception, both second degree crimes, and two counts of forgery, both crimes of the third degree. The grand jury alleges that between Dec. 19, 2007 and May 5, 2008, the defendant, after receiving a loan from a personal friend, created fictitious letters from an attorney outlining how the loan would be paid back, knowing she would not be able to make payment. Oct. 23 Brian R. Donnelly, 26, of Sparrow Bush, N.Y., was indicted by a grand jury on three counts of assault by auto, a crime of the third degree; three counts of assault by auto, a crime of the fourth degree, and three counts of driving while suspended and being involved in a motor vehicle accident with resulting serious bodily injury, a crime of the fourth degree. Brianna E. Nutto, 20, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to two years probation, was ordered to serve 23 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 23 days served. She was ordered to continue attending AA/NA three times per week, attend RDT classes and maintain employment. She must pay total fines and penalties of $1.175 and submit a DNA sample at her expense. She pled guilty on July 13, 2009 to possession of heroin, a third degree crime. She admitted to possessing a small amount of heroin in Hopatcong on Nov. 23, 2007. Ben A. Parichuk, 38, of Phillipsburg, was sentenced to four and one-half years state prison and was given 57 days GAP time credit. His sentence will run concurrent but not coterminous to a sentencing he is presently serving in Pennsylvania. He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $111,000, pay total fines and penalties of $205 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on Sept. 16, 2009 to burglary, a third degree crime. On April 26, 2008 in Sparta, he entered a residence without the owner’s knowledge or consent and removed a safe containing cash, numerous personal items and collectable baseball cards. Ashley M. Castro, 21, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to five years probation, was ordered to serve 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 93 days served. She was ordered to obtain mental health counseling, attend RDT classes and remain medication compliant. She must pay restitution in the amount of $393, pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at her expense. She pled guilty on Aug. 17, 2009 to theft, a fourth degree crime, and to a violation of probation. On July 9, 2009 in Hopatcong, she stole an X-Box 360 from her mother’s residence and sold it. She later admitted her actions to police. She was on probation at the time of that offense for taking several checks belonging to her mother, signing her mother’s name to them and cashing them. This occurred in Hopatcong between June 27, 2007 and July 10, 2007. Oct. 26 Javier Adolfo Ramirez, 26, of Augusta, pled guilty to endangering the welfare of a child, a third degree crime. Ramirez committed sexual acts against a minor female victim at his residence. Megan E. Park, 20, of Vernon, pled guilty to one count of third degree theft. She admitted that while employed by a Byram Township couple, she took a camera and jewelry valued at over $500 from their home.
