Clarification

In an article that ran in our Nov. 9 edition entitled “Ghoulish bingo raises money for animal welfare,” a line in the story indicated that the Vernon Animal Welfare League takes in unwanted cats left behind area stores. The league’s president says that the organization does not seek nor does it want people to drop off cats for it to collect.
