Children’s auditions for ‘The Sound of Music’ at Vernon Township High School Vernon Township High School’s Performing Arts Department will hold children’s auditions for their production of “The Sound of Music” on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the VTHS Chorus Room (018.) Roles available are: one boy, age 10 to 11 and three girls to portray 5-, 7- and 9-year-olds. Vernon boys and girls who sing and act must be accompanied by an adult to these auditions, where they will be taught a song from the show and be given lines to read. Children must be available after school three days a week for rehearsals until the performances on April 22, 23 and 24.
