Deborah Merz, owner Independence At Home Services, LLC Vernon 973-764-9430 ihs10@live.com Celebrating New business How did you get involved in the business? I am a nurse for 36 years and have done a lot of case management and discharge planning. The services my company offers are things that have been problems for families in the past for loved ones living alone. So since I feel that people should remain as independent and in their own home for as long as possible I started a business that provides assistance for living life. What is your favorite part of being in business? Assisting adults and people with needs remain at home while keeping a sense of independence. Making a difference in someones life is very fulfilling. What is your favorite book or movie? “Forrest Gump,” because it shows that anyone can accomplish anything if the drive and desire is there.
