Bike tour raises $20,000 for Winslow Therapeutic equestrian center

    WARWICK, N.Y. — The 18th Annual Tour de Goshen took place on Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Joint Recreation Park in Goshen, N.Y. Brian Dunlevy, owner of Joe's Fix Its, the tour's sponsor, estimated that approximately 500 people rode this year, to raise about $20,000 for Winslow Therapeutic Center in Warwick, N.Y. Philanthropy started with the young, as three youth riders raised over $1,000. There were four routes on the tour n 62, 45, 25, and 11 miles n with scenic views of Orange County. A tanker truck, on loan from the Goshen Fire Department, sprayed riders to cool them off as they returned from their rides. "This has always been such a great event," said County Executive Eddie Diana, accompanied by County Clerk Donna Benson. "I can't thank Brian enough for the effort he's put into the Tour De Goshen all these years. Winslow is a long-standing organization that supports children and adults in need. I encourage the community to continue supporting this wonderful event, and I'm so glad I came today." The center use horses in programs designed to help children and adults with a wide range physical, mental and social disabilities, including autism.
