‘BARKS' is newest Hike beneficiary

    Byram - BARKS (Byram Animal Rescue) is joining the Oct. 24 Hudson Farms Fall Byram Charities Hike. The organization joins Byram Schools, Byram Fire Department and the Lakeland Emergency Squad as beneficiaries. The self-guided 4-mile hike runs from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. and ends when hikers are done. The start location is off Route 206 near Jones Lane (about 4/10 mile north of Tamarack Road). There will be volunteers at checkpoints along the way. The trail ends at Hudson Farms West on Roseville Road where free hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be served. Buses will take hikers back to their cars at the start location. There is no fee for hikers. Hudson Farms will donate $1 per year of the age of each hiker. Hikers can choose which charity to support with their funds.
