Bank appoints two new officers

    Oak Ridge — Kenneth E. Bostwick, Jr. has been appointed to vice president/branch manager of Lakeland’s Butler and Carey Avenue offices. Thomas J. Shara, president and CEO of Lakeland Bank, announced the appointment. Bostwick has 28 years of banking experience, most recently with J.P. Morgan/Chase where he was a district manager. He also serves as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and for Aids Awareness in Morris County. He currently resides in Parsippany. Thomas J. Shara of Wyckoff, will join Lakeland Bancorp, Inc. as president and CEO. Shara will also become the president and CEO of Lakeland Bank. John Fredericks, chairman of Lakeland Bancorp, made the announcement. “Tom brings over 25 years of banking experience in Lakeland’s marketplace. He has a strong background in commercial and community banking and has had oversight responsibilities of a significant branch network,” said Fredericks. Shara is succeeding Roger Bosma as president and CEO. Bosma is retiring after nine years as president and CEO of the holding company and the bank. He will remain involved as a board member. Prior to joining Lakeland Bancorp, Shara served as president and chief lending officer of TD Banknorth’s Mid-Atlantic Division. He had responsibilities for all aspects of commercial lending including a loan portfolio with outstandings in excess of $3.5 billion. His responsibilities also included oversight of a network of 160 branches.
