Tuzzio baptism

The baptism of Adelina Pearl Tuzzio, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Tuzzio of West Milford, NJ, took place Sunday, March 25, 2007. Pastor Jose Ruiz and Rev. William Faulkner lead the service and Mr. Daniel Tuzzio of Bloomingdale, NJ and Mrs. Julie Lavin of Grand Island, NY served as the godparents. The infant’s christening gown was made 102 years ago by her great-great-great-great grandmother, Mrs. Marianna Dombrowski, and was first worn by her great-great-great uncle, the Rev. Hyacinth Malkowiak, C.P. The heirloom gown was later worn by Adelina Pearl’s maternal great-great grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Matezson, her maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Vendette, her maternal grandmother Mrs. Patricia Schwartz and her mother Mrs. Michelle Tuzzio. The baptism took place at The Reformed Church of Shawangunk in Wallkill, NY. The church has been part of the community since 1753 and it is the oldest church still in use among the Reformed Church Congregations in America. The party followed at Sangiovese at the 1776 Colonial Inn in Pine Bush, NY. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ric Schwartz of Wallkill, NY, Mr. Thomas Tuzzio of Fort Lee, NJ and Ms. Karen Tuzzio of Vernon, NJ attended the celebration.
