Traditional party for residents

    WARWICK - On Thursday, December 18, Schervier Pavilion residents and staff members celebrated Christmas and the holiday season. The staff created a traditional Christmas party. They prepared a buffet table complete with holiday treats, punch and other refreshments. “Moondance,” one of the residents’ most popular entertainment groups, was on hand to play music and sing Christmas songs as well as old time favorites. Residents stated that they enjoyed getting together with the activities staff to celebrate the holidays at a fun event. “We publish a calendar every month that’s filled with interesting and entertaining things to do throughout the day as well as some evenings.” Said Kari Call, a certified therapy recreation specialist and director of recreation. “And we always seize the opportunity to celebrate holidays and seasonal events Therapeutic recreation is essential to the quality of life and the quality of care of individuals receiving health and human services at our facility.”
