Ringwood—Three Ringwood Garden Club members were recently honored with tribute awards from the Garden Club of New Jersey. Onnolee Alieri, president of the Garden Club of New Jersey, presented the Tribute Awards to Pamela Kern, Renate Gudat, and Ceazonia Dyer. Alieri also introduced the newly-elected Ringwood Garden Club president, Pam Tokarczuk. Kern’s award was for Civic Development. Kern has chaired the club’s Ringwood Borough Beautification program for several years, working in Borough Hall designing and planting gardens. She has also chaired the beautification program at Ringwood Public Library. Gudat, honored for her work in Horticulture Therapy, is a 25-year club member and a Master Gardener. Gudat has spearheaded the garden club’s work in local health care centers for the past four years with programs that assist people who enjoy indoor gardening projects, such as making terrariums, window boxes, and seasonal wreaths at Lakeland Health Care Center and Van Dyk Assisted Living. Dyer received an award for All Around Excellence. In her 16 years in the Ringwood Garden Club, Dyer has served as vice president, recording secretary, and treasurer for three non-consecutive terms. She has chaired various committees and is considered the club’s trouble shooter. Dyer is the only club member to receive the Ringwood Garden Club Member of the Year award.
