Sandra J. Babitz

Sandra J. Babitz, 71, of Vernon, died Saturday June 14, 2014, at Newton Medical Center. Mrs. Babitz, daughter of the late John R. and Elizabeth P. (Evans) Morcom was born in Blakely, Pa., March 16, 1943. She has resided in the Scenic Lakes section of Vernon for the past 41 years.

Mrs. Babitz worked at the former Bouquets by Bobbie Florist in Sussex. She was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Hardyston.

Mrs. Babitz was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Babitz Sr., in 2001 and is survived by her three sons, Brian Westerholt of Kannapolis, N.C., Jeffrey Westerholt of Concord, N.C., and Robert A. Babitz Jr. of Jefferson Twp.; brothers and sister, Robert Morcom of Hamlin, Pa., John Morcom of Hamlin, Pa., William Morcom of Milford, Pa., and Mary Morcom of Red Creek, N.Y., as well as her eight grandchildren, which she adored.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 18, 2014, 11 a.m. at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94 (1 Vanderhoof Ct for GPS) Vernon. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
