    Mary E. Larity, “Nana” 84 years, passed away peacefully on Friday May 2, 2014, with family and friends by her side. Born in Hoboken, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Kowalski) Cox. For 28 years, she was a resident of Lake Stockholm and prior to that had resided in Lyndhurst, N.J. for 19 years.

    Mrs. Larity was a homemaker who always took great pride in caring for her family. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed dancing and singing and always looked forward to going out to lunch with her friends. She also was an avid bingo player with her many friends at the Lakeside Community Care Center in Oak Ridge. She was a former member of American Legion Post No. 139 in Lyndhurst.

    In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold Larity (1981). She is survived by her children; a son Harold Larity and family of Toms River, N.J., Daughters; Margaret Laplaca and husband, Philip, of Oak Ridge, N.J., and Sharon Savasta of Stockholm. Cherished by her grandchildren, Vincent, Sherry, John, Kristin, and Thomas along with great-grandchildren Jett, Kyra, Lyla, Finley, Erin, Anthony, and Brileigh.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral 9 a.m. on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home 1 Main St. Franklin, N.J. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church 4-24 Beaver Run Road Hamburg. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington, N.J. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
