Maria A. Manna

    Maria A. Manna rode her Honda to the heavens on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Born in Franklin, N.J., Maria was a longtime resident of Rockaway, N.J., and a graduate of Montclair State College. She worked for 47 years at Picatinny Arsenal, starting her career as an administrative assistant and working her way to technical writer. She was a beloved member of the Morristown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Morristown for more than 25 years. Her love in life was music. Through the years, she lent her sonorous and melodic voice to many venues from individual to big band, quartet to choir, chorus and theatre. She also was a sports enthusiast, often found riding her motorcycle, playing tennis, racquet ball, or skiing.

    She was predeceased by her parents, Carmine and Amalia (Guerra) Manna and a brother Joseph Manna. She is survived by her brother Anthony Manna; sister Emanuella (Mona) Lauricella; nieces, Ellen Repay, Diane Lauricella, and Ruth Anne Berliner; cousins Angie Kosminsky, John Manna, Santo Manna and Marie Sanders; a multitude of friends who’s hearts she touched with her life, song and endurance and will miss her deeply.

    A service will be held on Saturday, April 18. from 2-4:30 p.m. in the Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J. Funeral service will commence at 4:30 p.m. Online condolences may be offered through www.fjohnramseyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or the Morristown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
