Kathleen Monto of Wantage, N.J., passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Newton Medical Center. She was 83.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. Monto lived in Jersey City before moving to Sussex County. She had been employed by Christ Hospital for 44 years in Jersey City before retiring at age 65.
Mrs. Monto was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Sussex, N.J., and a member of Great Scotts of Tall Timbers Campground. Family was the most important part of her life. She loved ceramics, going to the casinos, and playing bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Monto; and her sister, Lucille.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Bellotti of Kearny, N.J., Deborah Rodriguez and her husband Gregory of Sussex, N.J., Teresa Monto of Bayonne, N.J., Christine Guider of Lumberton, N.J., and Victoria Tice of Wrightsville, Pa.; mother, Patricia M. Carney of Hamburg, N.J.; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.
Memorial services were held May 2 at the Solid Rock Baptist Church of Sussex. Private cremation services were arranged by the Pinkel Funeral Home, Sussex.
