    Joan Audrey Marcinkowski(nee Bauer), 89 years old, died after a long illness at Kindred Hospital, Dover, N.J., surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018. Born to Lawrence and Shirley Bauer in New York City, N.Y., she had lived in Carmel, N.Y., and Highland Lakes, N.J., before moving to Franklin 20 years ago.
    Joan worked as a church secretary at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Carmel, N.Y., for many years retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, a Friend of Bill and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and shopping. She will always be remembered for her ability to make everyone laugh.
    Joan is the devoted mother of Henry Marcinkowski and his wife, Linda, of Stormville, N.Y., Edward Marcinkowski of El Reno, Okla., and Dawn Groschel and her husband, Glenn of Highland Lakes, N.J. Dear sister of Lawrence Bauer, Jr. of Somerville, SC.
    The family will receive their friends for memorial visitation at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-8:30 p.m. Memorial service to follow at 8:30 p.m. Cremation is private.
