George W. Little

George W. Little, age 76, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014, at his home. Born in Sussex to the late Nathaniel and Helen (Park) Little, George graduated from Sussex High School in 1955 and had lived in the Sussex-Wantage area all of his life. He had served in the United States Army National Guard for three years. George was a carpenter and was a member of the New Jersey Carpenters Union Local 620. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sussex, Sussex County Agricultural Society, Past Master and member of the Wantage Grange No. 78 since 1957, New Jersey State Grange, and the National Grange. He participated in the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show and won many awards for flowers and vegetables. George is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Katherine (Bennett Auberger); his two sons, Wayne Little and his wife, Martha, of Augusta and Perry Little and his wife Sharon of Wantage; his daughter, Wendy Kovach and her husband, Alex “Shon,” of Franklin; his two brothers, Donald Little of Walden, New York, and John Little of Wantage; his five grandchildren, Bradley Little and his wife Rena, Mimely Little, Keith Little, and Alex and Kara Kovach; and his two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Everett Little. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex, NJ. Interment will follow at Beemerville Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
