    Eva Zidek (nee Huz), 86 years old, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, April 12, 2014, while in residence at The Homestead in Frankford Twp., N.J. Born to the late Wasil and Mary Huz in Franklin, NJ, she has been a lifelong resident of Franklin, N.J.

    Mrs. Zidek was a graduate of Franklin High School and upon graduation worked in the office of the New Jersey Zinc Company in Franklin, N.J. Then she worked as a secretary to the Franklin School Principal and then at National Community Bank. She then worked as a bookkeeper at the Franklin Hospital and Wallkill Hospital which later became St. Clare’s Hospital in Sussex, N.J., before retiring in 1998. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed polka music, antiquing with her late husband, Gusty and spending time with her family.

    Mrs. Zidek was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph W. Kulsar, Jr.(1964) and her second husband, Eugene Augustine “Gusty” Zidek(2000) and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Kulsar (2001). She was a beloved mother and cherished grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by; Candace and her husband, Brian Knoll, of Franklin, N.J., their children, Drew and his wife, Jennifer Knoll, and the most recent addition to Eva’s family, great-granddaughter, Hadley Eva Knoll of Middleboro, Mass., and Brittany and her husband, Dr. Daniel Cataldo, D.O. of Washington Township, N.J., Mary Elizabeth and her husband, George Harper, and their children, Jennifer Harper, Clayton and his wife, Jamie Harper and their children, Zackary and Kenzie, and Brett and his wife, Anna Harper, and their children, Waylon and Ranger all of Layton, N.J., Joseph Kulsar, III of Franklin, NJ and Nina Kulsar of Franklin, N.J; dear sister of Helen Geydoshek of Ogdensburg, NJ

    Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, N.J. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., NJ.
