    Elizabeth Jean Iuppo (nee Zagyi), 80 years old, died after a long illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wayne, N.J., on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Born to Michael and Elizabeth Zagyi in Franklin, N.J., she grew up in Franklin, N.J., and then lived in Irvington, N.J., and then Kinnelon, N.J., for the last 45 years.

    Mrs. Iuppo graduated from Franklin High School and then received her BS from Rutgers University. She served as vice president of the Northwestern Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and also served as vice chairwoman for Life Visions which seeks housing for children with learning disabilities. She was also appointed the parent advocate for the state of New Jersey.

    Mrs. Iuppo is the beloved wife for 57 years of Vincent Iuppo of Kinnelon, N.J. Devoted mother of Marc Iuppo at home; dear sister-in-law of Joseph Mercurio of Morristown, N.J. Loving aunt of Michelle Yager of Morrisville, Pa., and Michael Zagyi and his wife, Lee of Summit, N.J.
