    David Makepeace, 63 years old, died unexpectedly at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, N.J., on Monday, April 21, 2014. Born to Frank, Jr. and Mary Makepeace in Passaic, N.J., he lived in Fair Lawn, N.J., then Oak Ridge, N.J., and Ogdensburg, N.J., for 23 years before moving to Franklin, N.J., almost two years ago.

    Mr. Makepeace worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years and took great joy in fishing, hunting, camping, visiting the Jersey Shore and just being outdoors.

    Mr. Makepeace is predeceased by his father, Frank Makepeace, Jr. (1996), and is the devoted father of Jennifer Schultz and her husband, John, of Ogdensburg, N.J., Amy Goodyear of Montague, N.J., Sarah Makepeace of Franklin, N.J., and Kate Lyn Makepeace of Cape Coral, Fla. Loving son of Mary Makepeace of Oak Ridge, N.J. Dear brother of Robert Makepeace and his wife, Lisa, of Oak Ridge, N.J., Anne Makepeace of Butler, Pa., and Laura Makepeace and her husband, Tony of, Wintersville, Ohio. Cherished by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

    The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J., on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, April 25, 2014, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home.
