Charlotte K. Isenberg

    Charlotte K. Isenberg (nee Kroeger), 97, died after a brief illness at Harris Health Center of Bristol Glen, Newton, NJ on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Born to Herman and Katherine Kroeger in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was raised in Brooklyn and then moved to Basking Ridge, N.J. in 1947, before moving to Newton, NJ in 2000.

    She received a BA in Liberal Arts from Brooklyn College. Charlotte was very active in the Bishop Janes United Methodist Church, Basking Ridge, NJ, where she received two lifetime achievement pins in 1961 and 1998 from the United Methodist Women. She was president of UMW from 1957 to 1959 and also was a Circle Leader.

    Mrs. Isenberg was predeceased by her husband, Paul Isenberg (1980), a daughter, Janet Isenberg (2002) and a sister-in-law, Bessie Reiner (2009). She was the devoted mother of Carol Wilson and her husband, Grant of Franklin, NJ; loving grandmother of Susan Courinos of Phoenix, Ariz., Brian Day of Phoenix , Ariz., Eric P. Wilson of New York City and Amy R. Wilson of Syracuse; cherished great grandmother of Nick, Lauren and Hoelden.

    A memorial service will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church, 22 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, N.J. Interment of cremains will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, N.J. Private cremation services by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, ` Main St., Franklin, N.J.
