    Arlene Frances Goble (nee Burker), 76 years old, passed away surrounded by her loving family after a short illness at her son’s residence in Franklin, N.J., on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Born to William and Margaret Burker in Jersey City, N.J., where she was raised, she lived in Haskell and Bloomingdale before moving to Franklin, N.J., 17 years ago.
    Arlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a cashier for many years, most recently for the Butler Cleaners in Meadtown Plaza and Shop-Rite in Oakland, N.J. She took great joy in playing poker with her family. One of her many talents was the ability to sniff out a “Dollar Store” within the Tri-State area.
    Arlene is predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Goble, Sr.(2008) and is the devoted mother of Robert G. Goble, Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Franklin, N.J., Mark W. Goble and his wife, Lynda of South Glens Falls, NY and Dawn L. Post of Wantage Twp., NJ. Dear sister of Kathleen Quinn of Dalzell, SC and Barbara Smith of Howell, N.J. Dear friend of Liz Van Houten of Wantage Twp., NJ. Cherished by 7 grandchildren, a great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. Funeral service will commence at the funeral home at 4 p.m. Cremation is private.
