    Alex Bodnar, 90 years old, died after a long illness at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, N.J., on Monday, March 31, 2014. Born to Andrew and Rose Bodnar in Hardyston Twp., N.J., he has been a lifelong resident of Hardyston Twp., N.J.

    Mr. Bodnar was a self employed Dairy farmer in Hardyston Twp. for many years and also worked for the Hardyston Twp. Road Department for 15 years, retiring as road supervisor in 1990. Mr. Bodnar was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening.

    Mr. Bodnar was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Bodnar, his companion, Irene Stormes, 4 brothers, Andrew, Joseph, John and James Bodnar, a sister, Rose and a nephew, Dr. William Bodnar, and was the beloved uncle of Rosemary Wolverton of Hardyston Twp., N.J., Joseph Bodnar of Maine and James Bodnar of Andover, N.J. Cherished by many grandnieces and nephews.

    The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Graveside service at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., N.J., on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. Memorial gifts to Compassionate Care Hospice, 350 Sparta Avenue, Bldg.
