Magen David Adom fundraiser planned for next month

SPARTA — A Friend Raiser is planned for the American Friends of Magen David Adom, at the Sparta Volunteer Ambulance Building, on Sunday, May 16, at 3 p.m. Magen David Adom (MDA) is Israel’s national emergency medical, blood, ambulance and disaster service. MDA is recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross as the national aid society of the state of Israel and a member of the International Federation of Red Cross Societies. MDA was among the first emergency medical responders in Haiti following the earthquake and remains in Haiti healing and serving Haitians through compassionate medical care. Attendees at the Friend Raiser will learn more about MDA’s hope-giving work in Israel and in Haiti. There will be desserts, door prizes and music at this free event.
