Local man wins a car

Peter Savino (on right) of Newton never dreamed he would win a brand new 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, but he knew there was a chance after his store qualified for a Lowe’s employee new car giveaway. Peter is the lumber department manager at Lowe’s in Newton and was busy taking care of his department when the district manager pulled his name out of a hat filled with names of fellow employees who had qualified for the drawing. Shown here with Savino is Sean McGuire of McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac. “It was a pleasure to deliver this new Malibu to Peter.” McGuire’s is located on Route 206 by the square in historic downtown Newton.
