Diploma earned

Amanda Childress, a Newton resident, was home-schooled, for a number of her 22 years, but she never received a high school diploma. Recently, after study and preparation in the Franklin One Stop Learning Link Lab, under the tutelage of the on-site instructor Dorothy Snider, Childress received her GED certificate and will go on to college. The One Stop Lab in Franklin offers computer training, English as a Second Language and adult basic education courses.
