    Stanhope resident Lynsie LaBell has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 sememster at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. LaBell, a 2007 graduate of Lenape Valley Regional High School, is also a Rutgers cheerleader for the university’s football and men’s and women’s basketball teams as well as a competition cheerleader. Four area students wre named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester at the University of New Haven in West Haven. Conn. They are: Jacob Stark of Newton; Sparta residents Kristi Mendes and Ryan Ochs; and Jessica Vogt of Vernon . Lars J. Petersen of Newton a political science/public policy > major, has received high honors and Jerrica K. Lavooy of Sussex, a print and digial media major has received honors at Bloomfeld University in Bloomfeld for the fall 2008 semester. Both were also named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester. Elyse Heine of Newton and Victoria Johnson of Sparta have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester at Mount Ida College in Newton, Ma. Anthony Cramer of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the spring and fall 2008 semesters at SCCC and will graduate this spring with an associate’s degree. Cramer was recently accepted into Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for students at two-year colleges. He was also accepted into Psi Beta, the national society in psychology. Cramer is vice president of the college’s psychology club andn will attend Rutgers University this fall. Sparta resident Ashley Lally has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 sememster at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt. Pam Warehime, director of the Bright Beginnings Learning Center in Sparta, has received a master’s degree in neuroscience from the Teacher’s College at Columbia University in New York. She received her first master’s degree in early childhood education adminstration from Kean University in Union. Warehime plans to continue her doctorate studies at Columbia. Daniel R. Capozzoli of Glenwood has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester at Western New England College in Springfield, Ma. Three Sussex residents, all doctor of physical therapy students, have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. They are: Samantha Lavooy, Sarina Lavooy and Allison Michaud. Area residents were named to the dean’s and honor’s list for the 2008 semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University. They are Hackettstown residents Laura Gattuso, Shana Hebert and Cody Reanu; Hopatcong resident Jessica Caravaggio; Newton residents Jordan DeGroat, Dawn Machacek, Adam Olivo and Amanda Wlodarski; Sparta residents Joseph DeLuca, Kayla Kays, Karina Rodriguez, Adam Scherman, Colby Thompson and James Vellekamp; Stanhope residents Shireen Akbar and Megan Cicchetti; Sussex residents Patrick Gardner, Annette Kuperus and Melissa Stackpole; and Vernon residents Ashley Ahearn, Jamie Baker and Amanda Heule. Kate and Andrew Nerviano of Sparta have been named to the dean’s List for the fall 2008 semester at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y. Kate Nerviano a junior, is currently studying abroad in Hong Kong through the end of the Spring 2009 semester. Kirsten Tandberg of Glenwood was named to the dean’s list for the spring and fall 2008 semesters at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is a 2005 graduate of Vernon Township High School and a biology/pre-med major. A group of Sussex County students have received academic honors at Berkeley College for the fall 2008 semester. Lisa Marie Cucinella of Hopatcong and Ashley Seabeck of Montague were named to the president’s list. Named to the dean’s list were: Tyler Baumgarten of Wantage; Tyler Depuy of Branchville; Kristen Fedor of Wantage; Victoria Forgione of Newton; Amanda Hintzen of Franklin; Sheila Hellmich of Hopatcong; Andres Rios of Netcong; and Ling Tsui of North Brunswick.
