Eleven area students have been named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2009 semester at York College of Pennsylvania. They are Kaitlin Mattson of Hamburg; Layfayette residents Sarah Hayes, Justin Kalaskey, Erica Miller and Michelle Pease; Christina Carbonell and Amanda Ottalagano of Stanhope; Newton residents Melissa Chia and Carolyn Inga; and Andover residents Shanna Gilligan and Chelsea Pavelchak. Jennifer Humphries of Stanhope was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. Ashley Patete of Hardyston graduated summa cum laude in December from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She is an elementary/special education major. Melanie Greenberg of Sparta recently graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Elyse Lauren Earl of Sparta recently graduated from Clarion University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree. Sarah M. Foster of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2009 semester at Alfred University. She is a sophomore in the School of Art and Design. Kenneth Hanley of Vernon was named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2009 semester at Montclair State University, where he is majoring in film writing.
