Keith Kinzler of Sparta graduated from Rutgers University in January, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is the son of Tony and Karen Kinzler and a 2005 graduate of Sparta High School. Four area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. They are: Victor Russinko of Franklin; and Sparta residents Elizabeth Grace, Carolyn Bieganousky and Meghan Farrell. Maitland P. Muse III graduated from Centenary College this winter with a master’s degree in business administration. Erin Acker of Highland Lakes has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Ramapo College in Mahwah. James Arnold of Franklin earned his associate degree in culinary arts from The Culinary Institute of America in New Hyde Park, N.Y. last September. He is a 2007 graduate of Sussex County Technical High School. Jennifer Bubenik of Sussex has received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thomas Alger of Newton and Kristen Sullivan of Sparta, second-year students at Sussex County Community College (SCCC), were recently named to the 2010 New Jersey All-State Academic Team by the New Jersey Council of Community Colleges. Alger and Sullivan have been invited to a May 6 program in Trenton, where they will meet with the other members of the All-State Academic Team. The event officially recognizes the members of the New Jersey All-State Academic Team, sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community colleges. Representatives from the governor’s office and the state legislature will be invited to honor each student’s accomplishments. At SCCC, Alger is a student ambassador, member of the Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa as well as co-president of the Business Club. Alger will attend William Paterson University next fall to study business administration with a concentration in marketing. Sullivan is a SCCC student ambassador, member of the Student Government Association, and president of the Rotaract Club as well as president of Phi Theta Kappa. Sullivan will continue her studies in environmental science at either Rutgers University or Ramapo College. John F. Whitley of Sparta graduated from Centenary College this winter with a master’s degree in business administration. Four area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Caldwell College in Caldwell. They are: John Cox of Stockholm; Mary Gallagher of Newton; Ryan Gleason of Franklin; and Raj Trivedi of Wantage. Four area students graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown this winter. They are: Katie McDonald of Augusta; Lindsay Estes and Brooke Allison Green of Franklin; and Vincent Pagano of Wantage. Alison Donan, of Sparta, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Elmira College. Lindsay Schmitz, of Sparta, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Ithaca College. Simon K. Foster, of Sparta, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Albright College, in Reading, Pa. He is a senior, business administration/French/marketing track major and a graduate of Sparta High School.
