Chilton receives high rankings

Pompton Plains — Chilton Memorial Hospital is ranked No. 1 in the categories of “Top Hospital for Breast Cancer” and “Top Hospital for Hip/Knee Replacement” for New Jersey hospitals with 350 or fewer beds, according to Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a health care research and information company. It is also ranked No. 2 “Top Hospital Overall” with fewer than 350 beds. In addition, Chilton ranked No. 2 in three clinical areas: “Top Hospital for Prostate Cancer,” “Top Hospital for Stroke,” and “Top Hospital for Neurological Disorders.” It was ranked No. 4 “Top Hospital for Congestive Heart Failure” The rankings were based on surveys completed by physicians across the state who were asked to vote on the best hospitals in a number of clinical specialties, as well as for overall care.
