Celebrating 80 years

The family of Wasco Hadowantez gathered on May 2 to help celebrate his 80th birthday. Hadowantez is a lifelong resident of the town of Ogdensburg, and has been married to his wife Sylvia for 45 years. Known for his civic mindedness and work in establishing the Ogdensburg Historical Society, he was a key player in the establishment of the town’s infamous “Backward Tunnel” as a Municipal and National Historic Site.
