Four West Milford High School musicians participated last month in the New Jersey All State Band at the New Jersey PAC in Newark. Back row from left, Dr. Brian McLaughlin, high school band director, Chris Vidulich and Glenn Van Sickle, symphonic band. There were 60 members of the New Jersey All State High School Wind Ensemble, which was directed by John Pastin, director of band at Rowan University and retired U.S. Navy bandmaster and musician. They performed Carnival Overture JP-X, Lads of Wamphray, Masquerade and Eternal Father, and Strong to Save. The 117-member Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Thomas Connors, band director at Kean University, performed No Strings, With Heart and Voice, Allerseelen, and Music for a Festival.
