Boy Scout troop 150 holds Court of Honor

Sparta — At its second Court of Honor of the 2009-2010 year, Boy Scout Troop 150 recently celebrated the achievements of its members. The following Scouts were advanced in rank: Shawn Martin (Tenderfoot); Matthew DeRitter (Second Class); Devan Dhand, Rohan Drummond, Raymond Roggero, Liam Sax and Thomas Wolfe (First Class); Scott Byers, Jack Frey and Matthew Saba (Life Scout). Jeff Keenan received the Bronze Palm, a special award for Eagle Scouts who have completed an additional five merit badges. The following merit badges were awarded: Astronomy (Julian Buttitta, Rohan Drummond, Chris Rozek, Fred Clauss, Tim Clauss, Tyler Hepp, Joe Schwab, Joey Delaney, Michael Delaney, Nick Kalman, Raymond Roggero, Matt DeRitter, Jon Socci, Jimmy Socci; Communication (Jack Frey); Environmental Science (Chris Rozek); Fingerprinting (Joe More); First Aid (Joe More); Personal Fitness (Scott Byers, Nate Mundi, Matt Saba, Greg Allan, Justin Allan); Personal Management (Alex Gastelu); Reading (Greg Allan); and Rifle Shooting (Joe Schwab). Boy Scout Troop 150 meets at 7 p.m. on Mondays at the Sparta Methodist Church. All interested boys, ages 11-18, are welcome.
