West Milford Elks hosting charity crop

West Milford - The West Milford Elks Cub is hosting a charity crop later this month. A crop? What, you might ask, is a crop? To scrapbook enthusiasts, that’s a silly question. A crop is a social gathering of scrapbookers who bring along their boxes and bags of photos and end up with meaningful, finely decorated books containing a lasting legacy for their future generations. This crop is for charity. Each participant will donate $50 and have 12 solid hours of non-stop cropping. In addition to helping out special needs children and veterans with their donation, they will receive a light breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and beverages throughout the day. They get a four foot scrapping space. Plus, there will be on-site vendors and raffles. Each participant must bring your own extension cords and tape. And you will get to enjoy the company of friends, new and old, while you work on your scrapbooks. Everyone interested in this charity crop must register by Friday, Sept. 11. The Elks need 40 registrants to hold the event. To get more information or to register, e-mail elks2236fallcrop@gmail.com.
