Waterpark opens new ride

Vernon — Mountain Creek Waterpark recently held its inauguration of a new ride, The Alpine Pipeline. The VIP event was held to give a select group of season pass holders, radio contest winners and local partners the first opportunity to ride this attraction. Approximately 150 guests arrived to partake in the afternoon’s activities. The park supplied the thrills by offering VIPs the opportunity to ride both the Alpine Pipeline and High Anxiety. The mayor of Vernon, Austin Carew, as well as City Chamber member Melody Duffy and local radio personality Maria Lake cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the Alpine Pipeline to the public. After that, the ride was non-stop with enthusiasts completing the invigorating two-person tube ride and rushing to switch places and do it all over again.
