Warwick Chorale hosts holiday concerts

Warwick, N.Y. The Warwick Valley Chorale, Orange County’s longest continually-active singing group beginning its 69th season, announces its annual holiday concert, “Holiday Harmonies.” The repertoire includes selections by J.S. Bach, J. Pachelbel, A. Lotti, G.F. Handel, “Songs of Christmas” by Roy Ringwald, and favorite traditional songs of the holiday season. The Warwick Valley Chorale performance dates and venues are as follows: Friday, Dec. 4, 7 p.m.: First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, 142 Stage Rd., Monroe, N.Y. Friday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m.: Goshen United Methodist Church, 115 Main St, Goshen, N.Y. Sunday, Dec. 13, 7 p.m.: Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Ave, Warwick, N.Y. The chorale presents free-admission concerts each May and December in Warwick and neighboring communities. The programs are under the direction of Stanley Curtis, with accompanist Gail Johnson. Members range from high school students to senior citizens and are from many communities within Orange County, as well as neighboring New Jersey. The Warwick Valley Chorale is a thriving versatile group that has performed as Chorus in Residence for the Warwick Musical Festival, as well as for numerous local community events, including dedications of World War II and Vietnam memorials, the Village of Warwick World Trade Center Memorial, the World Trade Center Warwick Citizens Memorial Benefit and dedication ceremonies, and Home for the Holidays.
