Hardyston — The Sussex County YMCA will host a special Teen Night on Friday, Feb. 19, from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. The event is open to pre-teens and teens, grades 5 to 8. In addition to the usual activities such as swimming and games, the Y has partnered with the Center for Prevention and Counseling’s Youth Leadership Institute to present short, informative and funny skits on serious adolescent topics such as cyber-bullying, peer pressure and girl fights. YMCA Teen Nights are held during the school year on the first and third Friday of the month, excluding holidays. YMCA counselors and volunteer teen leaders provide a fun and safe environment with games, dancing, swimming, and the opportunity to discover new talents and make friends. The theme for this event will be Breakfast for Dinner. Participants are invited to come in appropriate pajamas. (No bare feet outside the pool area.)
